Manchester Met University Technical Services are recruiting a Level 3 apprentice into the Food Nutrition team. The Food Nutrition team are part of the Faculty of Health and Education and include such specialisms as; Nutritional Science, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Psychology. The Faculty is ambitious and forward looking, its ambition supported by its external partners and the Universities senior team.

MMU are offering the opportunity for an enthusiastic and practically minded individual with good interpersonal skills to join our team of technical staff as an Apprentice Food Technology Technician. You will support the delivery of technical services within the Faculty, specifically supporting the Food Nutrition area, which includes several specialist areas eg food development, physical and sensory testing, food safety, microbiology and biochemistry. You will be employed as a member of the team alongside undertaking your level 3 apprenticeship leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

You will have a positive and flexible approach to your work.  You will be reliable and punctual as well as being motivated and willing to undertake all required training and allocated tasks. Having an ability to take direction and a desire to learn from constructive feedback.  MMU are seeking an individual who has an interest in this area of specialism or a broader interest in food and or nutrition. You will have the ability to work alongside others and be capable of working in a team, whilst striving to deliver excellent customer service.
