Russell Wilson’s Virtual Exhibition

The #Iamatechnician campaign on Twitter, initiated by Phil Chandler at University of Salford, was a resounding success and it was great to see so many technicians proudly stating their profession in different sectors!

Russell Wilson, with Technician Development Funding from the NTDC, is running a virtual exhibition showcasing technician’s success stories, why they love their work and their varying career paths.

The deadline to be involved in this project has now been extended following the success of the recent Twitter campaign. The new deadline is June 13th 2022.

This is a collaborative project that encourages technicians across HEIs in the UK to submit promotional materials (pictures, videos, posters, podcasts etc.) to promote technical careers to the next generation. Russel aims to showcase these in a virtual exhibition, to an audience of young people from primary to secondary school ages.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a collective campaign that will impact the next generation of technicians!
