Technical Operations, Resources and Services (TORS) is a large cross-university team providing specialist Technical Support for teaching, research and commercial activities. The Health / Clinical Simulation technical team are committed to providing a highly skilled support service to three Departments, Nursing and Midwifery, Allied Health Professionals, and Social Work, Social and Community Studies in our health specialist training facilities.
In the role of Technical Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in the development and delivery of clinical and rehabilitation skill acquisition and simulated learning experiences. This will include proposals/recommendations on the future requirements of specialist equipment and facilities, managing local health and safety systems and the development of technical support services and process’s.
You will be joining us at an exciting time in the development of simulated practice placement for our healthcare students. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the self-confidence to liaise with staff and stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be committed to providing excellent customer service and demonstrate a professional, approach when managing enquiries and giving advice, guidance and information. You will be able to plan, organise and prioritise your own work and that of your teams in a proactive and flexible manner, and work to deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
