About the role
This role involves working with students at undergraduate and postgraduate level, primarily in Fine Art. You will be a key part of our existing Technical Services team. You will be able to deliver technical teaching and support in a full range of materials and be skilled in casting and mould-making and construction methods including welding and woodworking. You will have experience in carving and modelling and will have built and installed temporary exhibition spaces. You should have a good working knowledge of 3D scanning and 3D printing and be motivated to extend your knowledge in this area.
You should be an effective communicator, and innovative, with strong organisational and creative skills. Guiding students to reach their potential will be at the heart of what you do. We are looking for knowledge and experience of industry level equipment and software. Keeping up to date with technological advances in the area. An aptitude for problem solving and assisting students in realising their projects. To do so, you will be adept at communicating to a diverse range of individuals from varying backgrounds and have specialist knowledge and understanding of race, multiculturalism, and diversity.
