Are you looking for a career in Science Support? Would you like to work in a team that ensures our researchers and technicians have access to the best equipment, facilities and resources?
We are looking for three laboratory technicians to support our research laboratories, associated infrastructure and the buildings in the Faculty of Biological Sciences. You will mainly be based in one of the following Schools: Biology, Biomedical Sciences and Molecular & Cellular Biology but will work as part of a flexible team to carry out tasks associated with all the support functions provided to our research laboratories across the Faculty.
You should have an A level, BTEC qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience working in a scientific research environment. You will also have an understanding of biological and chemical hazards, safe handling and disposal, with the ability to work safely and maintain a high standard of hygiene. In addition, you will also have good organisational and communication skills, a flexible approach to undertake a variety of tasks and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
