Salary:   Grade 6 £28,762 – £33,314 per annum. Potential to progress to £36,386 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.

Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our large and diverse department as the Senior Research Technician. You will be responsible for leading and delivering the highest quality technical expertise and support for teaching and research activities within the department. This includes maintenance of research equipment, curating our bank of psychological research material and manuals including software used for experimental psychology and hardware supporting eye-tracking and EEG research and supporting students with their research projects. Reporting to the Departmental Manager, you will be expected to work flexibly across all our buildings, delivering technical day-to-day support for research and teaching equipment, along with support for digital learning. The delivery of higher education is increasingly focused on the use of digital learning and the provision of online tools to engage and work effectively with students. This post will play a key role in facilitating our high-quality digital offer to students.
