The Technical Operations, Resources and Services Team
Technical Operations, Resources and Services (TORS) is a large cross-university team within Student and Academic Services. TORS provides specialist technical support for teaching, research, and commercial activities. The Clinical Simulation team within TORS, are committed to providing excellent services supporting three Departments within the College of Health Wellbeing and Life Sciences – Nursing and Midwifery, Allied Health Professionals, and Social Work, Social and Community Studies. Currently our healthcare estate is based on our Collegiate Campus, close to the botanical gardens and just a short 15-20 min walk from of the city centre campus serviced by good public transport routes.
The Technical Specialist Role
We are expanding our clinical simulation technical team and therefore have a new Technical Specialist role available. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we expand to develop new estate and simulated learning environments to enhance the delivery of the taught programme across our healthcare courses. You will assist with the development and facilitation of simulated healthcare learning, and ideally you will have a working knowledge of patient simulators, clinical skills task trainers and other equipment associated with clinical simulation. You will have experience of providing excellent customer service and be able to demonstrate a professional, approach. The role requires you to work collaboratively with finance, estates and timetabling teams, so excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
