This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Technical Services team as a specialist Education Psychology, Mathematics & Computing, Technical Officer in the Faculty of Health & Education. Located at Brooks Building, on the Birley Campus, Manchester Metropolitan University.

Our team comprises approximately 200 technicians across the University. We provide specialist support to undergraduate and postgraduate students and the student experience is at the heart of what we do.

The services we provide underpin a wide variety of academic programmes and we deliver this support via specialist laboratories, workshops, design studios and contemporary arts facilities.

Our technical staff provide a high level of expertise and technical knowledge, playing a key role in supporting students in their studies and project work.

We also provide support for research, consultancy, and knowledge exchange activities.

The Role: 

The role holder will take responsibility for specialist labs, workshops, and studios in the Health & Education department to provide sector leading learning environments. Equipment will be maintained to a professional high standard. You will need to be organised to ensure delivery of high-quality teaching, research and widening participation outputs.

About You: 

You will have experience in providing technical support within education labs, workshops, studios, immersive learning environments and teaching outside the classroom. A broad knowledge of theoretical and methodological processes associated with quantitative and qualitative research methods in Psychology is essential.

You will have a flexible approach to work and an ability to work on your own initiative. Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality service will also play an important role in being successful in this post.
