ABOUT THE ROLE
As a strong team player you must have excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to prioritise workload in line with customer demands. You will be able to demonstrate familiarity of common practises and terminology used within the media /production environment, A good working knowledge of technical aspects of media, including rigging, AV instillations, multi camera operations, mobile devices, social media platforms, video, audio and lighting equipment with relevant software knowledge in post post-production, Adobe Premier, Adobe Audition, AVID Media Composer, Myriad, and DaVinci Resolve.Â
Support will include, but not limited to, preparing content, for use within practical workshops and online content, ensuring content is delivered within a specific workflow. First line maintenance and PAT testing of technical equipment, faculty software administration and specialist print support.
The successful candidate will also be required to assist in the management of health and safety within the faculty, and have practical experience of Risk Assessment, COSHH, equipment maintenance and PAT Testing. There is a requirement for working a height using ladders and scaffold towers, along with manual handling within this role.
ABOUT THE TEAM
You would be part of a diverse technical team who provide support for learning, teaching, research and enterprise activity within the faculty across a number of specialist teaching spaces and subject areas. The role is primarily focused to support the Media programmes however there may be a requirement to assist with other areas of faculty including but not limited to the Design, Fine Art and the Faculty Technical Resource centre.Â
